CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, Calif. — An El Dorado County man has been charged with sexually abusing three underage girls, authorities said.
The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office charged Rodney Brown, 62, of Camino, with eight felonies, including the abuse of girls who were younger than 14 at the time of the alleged assaults, prosecutors said in a release Tuesday.
Two of the alleged assaults happened in El Dorado County in 1995.
One of the victims lives in Contra Costa County, where the case is being investigated.
Brown, who pleaded not guilty to all charges, is in custody at the Martinez Detention Facility. His bail was set at $8.8 million.
In addition to Camino, Brown is believed to have lived in Bethel Island and Brentwood. The district attorney's office in Contra Costa County is asking anyone with information about Brown's case to call Sgt. Garrett Schiro, with the sheriff’s office, at 925-313-2620.
