(Image: Coloma Flood of 1997) Due to measurable rainfall and runoff over the weekend, the South Fork of the American River has risen substantially at Henningsen Lotus Park, causing unsafe conditions. To ensure the safety of the public and preserve the Park's resources, the Park has been closed until further notice.
The County Sheriff's Department is working with the Parks Division to enforce the temporary closure. The public is urged not to enter the park.
