Kenny Curtzwiler, the Lake Tahoe SkiBum, has organized the 2nd annual Dual on Dynamite bump race to be held at Sierra-at-Tahoe on Sunday, April 2 as a fundraiser for the resort's Avalanche Dogs.
This event will also be the used as the inaugural "Remember Zach 'Zach-Mac' McAllister" event.
A South Lake Tahoe native, McAllister died unexpectedly in November, 2016 at the age of 26. The 2008 South Tahoe High graduate was a firefighter-paramedic at Northstar Fire Department for four years and a ski patroller at Sierra-at-Tahoe for eight years.
Dual on Dynamite will be a dual format bump race on the Lower Dynamite run.
Entry fee is $40 and includes lunch and a T-Shirt.
There will be also be an after-race awards party at the resort's Sierra Pub with live music.
Registration starts at 8:00 a.m., with the race from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
There will be prizes not only for the winner, but also for Best Retro Costumes.
A lift ticket is required for the race.
