Placerville, CA – James Armstrong and Steve Patrick were arrested by Placerville Police Officers after breaking into vehicles in Placerville.
On September 15, 2016, a resident off of Barrett Drive spotted two males rummaging through his work truck at 6:40 in the morning. The resident scared off the pair, who jumped in a nearby vehicle and quickly drove off. The resident gave chase as he called the Placerville Police Department. Officers located the suspect vehicle and made a traffic stop on Spring Street north of Highway 50.
Placerville Police Officers identified James Armstrong and Steven Patrick as the two occupants of the suspect vehicle, a 2004 Black, Chevrolet Aveo. Officers located illegal narcotics and stolen property inside the vehicle and learned that the two were on probation out of Sacramento County.
The two were taken into custody and booked for the following charges; Burglary, PC 459, Possession of burglary tools, PC 466, Violation of Probation, PC 1203.2, Possession of Controlled Substance, H&S11350, Possession of Methamphetamine, H&S 11377, and Driving on a Suspended License, CVC 14601.1(a).
