A huge shout out to everyone who came and supported our 15th Annual Walk a Mile in Her Shoes on Saturday, May 13th. Over 100 men, women, children and even some four-legged friends marched against domestic violence and sexual assault down Placerville’s Historic Main Street.
Funds raised exceeded $30,000 and will go to support The Center’s programs and services for victims and survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence. Our High Profile Walkers were the stars of the day bringing in over $20,000!
1st Place - Noah Sena & Aayden Hermosillo- Markham Jr. High students - $4,431
2nd Place – Chief Kay Iida and the Shingle Springs Tribal Police - $3,865

Sexual Assault Awareness Month is over, yet let’s encourage one another to continue supporting victims and survivors of sexual and domestic violence every day. Remember Prevention is Possible!
Check out The Center for Violence-Free Relationships’ Facebook page every Friday in the month of June to find helpful information on the topic of self-care.
