Placerville, CA – Dan Dellinger, a self-employed government relations and political consultant, officially filed the required legal paperwork to have his name placed before voters for the office of County Recorder-Clerk on the June 5 Primary ballot. Dellinger’s background includes nine years experience with the California State Legislature and California Commission for Economic Development helping draft legislation, conducting policy research, and assisting families resolve problems with government agencies; seven years administrative experience managing the Gilroy Visitor’s Bureau, Gilroy Chamber of Commerce, and Del Norte County Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Authority; and eighteen years self-employment experience as a Government Relations and Political Consultant. Citing a need for reform, Dellinger outlined his future vision and goals for the Recorder-Clerk’s Office and called for an end to the Bonus Scheme whereby some County elected officials add to their guaranteed six-figure salaries by adding non-performance bonuses to their paychecks.
“Government agencies function best when the folks working in them understand that they are public servants and that you and I are their customers”, explained Dellinger, “that is why I believe we can provide taxpayers excellent results by fostering a caring public service culture, having staff answer the telephones instead of computers or call centers, and ensure accountability by letting our customers know which staff members are working to resolve their problem”.
“My goals, if hired by the voters,” said Dellinger, “will be to save taxpayer money, improve customer service, and prevent document and voter fraud in today’s new era of computer hacking, automatic DMV voter registration, and the State’s planned change to 100% vote-by-mail elections eliminating traditional election day polling booths”.
“If elected I will not participate in our County’s shameful Bonus Scheme whereby some County elected officials fatten their guaranteed six-figure salaries with added non-performance bonuses and will continue to work to permanently eliminate this corrupt practice,” pledged Dellinger.
Dellinger’s growing list of endorsements includes the California Taxpayer Protection Committee, California ProLife Council, Bikers of Lesser Tolerance, and the Modified Motorcycle Association. Dellinger recently received the coveted “A” Rating from Gun Owners of California. Dan Dellinger can be reached at (530) 644-5663.
