California - Judge Steven Bailey (Ret.) was honored to receive the endorsement of the California Republican Assembly (CRA), the oldest and largest volunteer organization chartered by the California Republican Party. Delegates to the CRA voted unanimously to endorse Bailey over his Republican opponent who also spoke before the group during the general session on Saturday.

"I had a great weekend meeting with the committed conservatives of the CRA," said Judge Bailey. "These volunteers are the backbone of the Republican Party and I'm honored to receive their endorsement.""I will lead the charge to bring their voices to the state capitol and make California safer for all of our families."

The California Republican Assembly was founded in 1932 and has since provided a launching pad for Republican candidates to advance to higher office. The CRA was the leading volunteer organization behind the Reagan revolution leading President Reagan to often refer to the CRA as "the conscience of the Republican Party." Starting in the 1990s, the CRA's record of success spawned a national organization based on its efforts, the National Federation of Republican Assemblies, which now has affiliates in forty states.

The California Republican Assembly endorsement of Judge Bailey follows that of Gun Owners of California, conservative Republican CongressmanTom McClintock, and State Senators Jim NielsenTed GainesJohn MoorlachMike Morrell, and Joel Anderson, a past CRA Vice President.
