(Placerville, CA) - The El Dorado County Health and Human Services Agency, Public Health Division is reminding residents to receive their flu vaccine in anticipation of this year's flu season. Public Health is offering several low-cost community flu vaccination clinics, including two new dates for flu clinics that had to be rescheduled due to recent power outages in the county.
Seasonal influenza vaccine will be available in flu shot form at the community clinics and a limited supply of FluMist® will be available for children. The cost per vaccine is $10, but no one will be denied service due to inability to pay; cash or check accepted. Parents should plan to bring their child's immunization records.
Upcoming Community Flu Clinic Dates and Locations:
- November 5, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at El Dorado Hills Fire Station 85, 1050 Wilson Boulevard, in the Conference Room, El Dorado Hills
- November 7, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Pollock Pines Community Church, 6361 Pony Express Trail, in the Evergreen Room, Pollock Pines
- November 12, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Grizzly Flats Community Church, 5061 Sciaroni Road, Grizzly Flats
- November 15, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at El Dorado County Public Health, 931 Spring Street, Placerville
For individuals who aren't able to attend one of the community flu clinics, Public Health also offers flu vaccinations by appointment.
